AD PLANT

The AD Plant is part of Bays Leaps diversification and, along with our Organic Farm, we have invested in ours and the planets future, by installing an on Farm Anaerobic Digester, which will help in providing ALL the Farms energy needs from Mid-June 2025 onwards. We see this is a big step in securing energy independence, and as a hedge against future energy price rises. The AD Plant will be powered solely by using the Dairy and Beef Cows waste. We will not need to grow crops to feed the plant, only for our animals, thus reducing our environmental footprint even further, having installed 337 photo voltaic panels on the Farm Buildings, back in 2023.

 

The AD Plant would not have been possible without the help and support of Lloyds Bank and who part funded the scheme along with The Northeast Combined Authority Investment Fund and by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund with the Northeast Combined Authority as the lead authority.

 

We are very proud to be a leading organic dairy and grass-fed beef farm and cannot thank those who have supported us in continuing to produce the best farm produce we possibly can, with the cleanest energy, created using our wonderful animals waste.
